Yogatrotter Academy – Terms & Conditions & Release of Liability

1. Booking, Payments, and Cancellations

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due by the date specified for each retreat. All payments must be made in full and on time to maintain your reservation.

All deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Travel disruptions (e.g., flight delays or cancellations)
  • Illness, injury, or medical conditions (including COVID-19 or other communicable diseases)
  • Natural disasters, border closures, government restrictions, or acts of God
  • Changes of mind, personal circumstances, or scheduling conflicts
  • Late arrival, early departure, or failure to attend

Once registered, your payment confirms your commitment to attend, and all funds are allocated toward retreat expenses.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical emergencies, trip interruptions, and any other unforeseen circumstances that may affect your ability to attend.

2. Health, Safety, and Participant Responsibility

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of participating in all retreat activities. You agree to disclose any relevant medical conditions, medications, or limitations to the organizers before attending.

Yogatrotter Academy, Niantic Yoga Shala LLC, and its affiliates (including Wave Yoga LLC) are not responsible for any illness, allergic reactions, diseases, injuries, or medical emergencies that may occur before, during, or after the retreat. Participants should seek appropriate medical advice prior to travel.

Participation in yoga, movement practices, excursions, and other retreat activities is voluntary and at your own risk. You acknowledge that these activities may carry inherent risks and accept full responsibility for your participation.

3. Personal Property and Travel

Yogatrotter Academy (Niantic Yoga Shala LLC) is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings, including luggage, electronics, or valuables. Please keep your possessions secure and consider appropriate insurance coverage for your items.

Travel to and from the retreat location is the sole responsibility of each participant. Niantic Yoga Shala LLC is not liable for any travel-related costs or damages resulting from transportation delays, cancellations, or emergencies.

4. Code of Conduct

To maintain a supportive and harmonious retreat environment, participants are expected to:

  • Treat all guests, staff, and local communities with kindness and respect.
  • Respect shared spaces and quiet hours.
  • Refrain from disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behavior.
  • Consume alcohol (if applicable) responsibly and in moderation.

Yogatrotter Academy reserves the right to remove any participant from the retreat without refund if their behavior is deemed unsafe, inappropriate, or detrimental to the experience of others.

5. Force Majeure

In the event of natural disasters, pandemics, war, government restrictions, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond the control of Yogatrotter Academy, the retreat may be postponed, rescheduled, or canceled.

In such cases, no refunds will be issued. At the discretion of the organizers, credit toward a future retreat may be offered.

6. Media Release

By participating in a Yogatrotter Academy event, you grant full and irrevocable permission to Yogatrotter Academy and its affiliates (including Wave Yoga LLC) to capture, use, and publish photographs, video, or other media featuring you during retreat activities.

These materials may be used for marketing, social media, promotional, and commercial purposes in any format, worldwide, and in perpetuity, without compensation or further approval.

Participation in the retreat constitutes consent to this release. By booking, you agree that media capture is a standard part of the retreat experience and cannot be declined.

7. Limitation of Liability

By booking an event with Niantic Yoga Shala LLC, you agree to release and hold harmless Yogatrotter Academy, Niantic Yoga Shala LLC, its founders, teachers, staff, partners, and affiliates (including Wave Yoga LLC) from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from participation in the retreat or related activities, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Niantic Yoga Shala LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or in connection with your participation.

8. Legal Jurisdiction

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this agreement shall be resolved in that jurisdiction.

9. Consent and Acknowledgment

By booking and attending an event with Yogatrotter Academy (Niantic Yoga Shala LLC), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions outlined in this document, including the non-refundable payment policy and release of liability.

You acknowledge that:

  • You are participating voluntarily and at your own risk.
  • You are responsible for your own health, safety, and belongings.
  • You release Yogatrotter Academy (Niantic Yoga Shala LLC) and its affiliates (including Wave Yoga LLC) from all liability related to your participation.
